Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who gets to stay in the house?

Well, anyone! Check out the chart below for more information on what that means, but the priority will be for Goers who are living cross-culturally and are a part of the contributing organizations. The vision is that these houses would represent a thoughtful and restful stay for Goers who need respite.

  • Do I need to pay anything?

It depends! If you are in one of the contributing organizations, no! Your stay is taken care of. If you are outside of these organizations, you might be asked to send a donation to cover your stay. Please note, 100% of the money will be used for upkeep, maintenance, and supplies for the house.

  • If I need help, who can I reach out to?

If you're having issues making a reservation or have questions before you book, please send us an email at reservations@cnxguesthouse.org. We are looking forward to hosting you and are here to answer any questions you might have about visiting.

  • What if the houses are booked already?

While we don't expect both houses to be booked often, it can happen. If the houses are not available, you will receive an email with other options from other ministries and airbnbs around the city. We want to help find you and your family the best accommodations for your situation.

  • I'm going to need some medical attention while in Chiang Mai. Whats the best way to find out about what doctors or hospitals I should go to?

We have a document with a ton of recommendations for doctors, therapists, dentists, hospitals, and other needs you might have while visiting. Please note that some might require advance booking. If you need help or would like a copy of this document, send an email to reservations@cnxguesthouse.org

  • Who makes this possible?

We're so glad you asked! This ministry is a combined effort of several organizations. It's also possible thanks to donations from people who stay in the homes who are not a part of the contributing organizations.

Intake clarifications and special conditions

  • Lower-level category guests are typically informed upon booking that if an emergent need arises for a member of a contributing organization, they may get bumped out of the house with 48 hours notice and will be recommended a few nearby locations to stay.

  • Should there be an instance where multiple guests are traveling to Chiang Mai for an event or training and could stay in the Guest Houses together, all parties will need to agree in advance that they are comfortable with this arrangement. This will occur upon receiving the intake forms.

  • If multiple crises require accommodations outside of what can be provided by the Guest Houses, additional options will be given.

  • If there is an opportunity to bless goers in crisis outside of the contributing organizations, we will discuss via email and all parties must agree.
